My mentor was In the military and that is where he got most of his tech skills at but he has a long backround in technology, and I have learned that he is a pretty hard working guy because we have been told stories of how the Vp and others have had to make him go home basically.

This was one of our tasks where we changed the set up from a regular desk to a stand up/regular desk because I have no Idea why but a lot of the people here like to stand up while they are working.
To tell the truth I really have not had the need to advocate for myself at all because its not like I am being treated bad or dont agree with anything because everybody here is cool and they actually enjoy are help/company.
It has been pretty easy to manage my time and every task that I have been given has been completed way ahead of time. I am glad that this is the Externship that I picked because I think the is the the perfect way to end high school because I am working in such a chill enviroment and the workload is perfect. I have the perfect amount of time to complete every tasks that I am given.
I can connect my externship because it is pretty hands on and we arent just being talked at. Instead of showing us how to do everything Rick kind of just guides us and lets us figure some things out on our own. The skills I am developing right now are my computer skills.
Best visit time : Either monday or tuesday from 9 to 1 The thing that strikes me the most about my workplace are the people in here and how nice the space is. The main thing I like about my peers is how cool they all are and they are more than willing to help and very talkative. The thing that strikes me the most about what i am doing is the fact that I am able to do it because I never thought I would be able to work with computers that well.
I am excited to get a break from school again, not really nervous about anything. My mentor is Rick Gierke and he is the IT guy at Retail Opportunity Investment Corps.
